The treatment of Native Americans on reservations

APA, 2000 words

The Native Americans living on reservations lack proper health care facilities. To address this issue, The Indian Health Care Improvement Act was proposed. Despite this law, only 60% of Natives Americans could avail this service. There are various reasons that have been designated as the causes of this scenario. These are lack of infrastructure and health awareness, aging of the existing facilities, cultural and language difference and cut of government funding in this sector. But a combined approach of strong government support in term of funding and facility development and raising of awareness of the Natives can contribute to the development of this scenario to some extent.
