1        Introduction

Supply chain management means the coordination of all kinds of activities from the point of origin to the point of consumption. It comprises the activities of the suppliers, producers, distributors, middleman and other parties who are engaged in satisfying customers demand (kim, 2005). It is very important for customer satisfaction especially for telecommunication industry. Sony Company is a renowned name in telecommunication industry. It is a multinational mobile phone company founded in 2001 as a joint venture with Swedish company Ericsson. The company manufactures mobile phone and their area of operations is China, Sweden, Japan, India, United States, and Tokyo and so on. Now a day’s Sony Company takes its position as fourth largest mobile company in the world with 9.8 million units shipped.
